President and Co-Founder

Launched Veritas Equity Management after earning a degree in Business Administration, leading the acquisition and operation of over $175M in commercial real estate. Recipient of the National Independent Owner of the Year Award (2015) and National Property of the Year (2017–2019), and an active member of the Houston Apartment Association.

Katelin Boriack

Co-Founder and Impact Executive Director

Co-Founder of Veritas Equity Management with 15+ years in the industry. Established Veritas alongside her husband John in 2012, and now directs the non-profit VEM Impact which empowers community-driven change through holistic support.

Laura Karl

Chief Financial Officer

A CPA with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Joined Veritas as in-house Controller in 2018 after nearly three years working on the account externally, and was promoted to CFO in December 2020.

Jackie Aguirre

Management Director

With Veritas since 2012, Jackie now leads the management of all Veritas properties. Recipient of the HAA "40 Under 40" Award (2022) and the HAA President's Award (2021).

Ruha Vohra

Operations Director

A Houston native with nearly 20 years in multifamily housing. Joined Veritas in 2018 and now serves as Operations Director. Named Houston Property Manager of the Year (2020), Texas Manager of the Year (2022), and an HAA "40 Under 40" recipient (2022).

Brityn Maddox

HR Director

Leads people operations at Veritas — building the hiring, onboarding, and culture programs that keep the team rowing as one, and helping Veritas remain one of Houston's Best & Brightest places to work.

Nimcy Gonzalez

Director of Marketing & Outreach

Directs marketing and community outreach across the Veritas portfolio, connecting residents to Veritas Impact programs and telling the story of principled performance to the wider Houston community.

Andrew Gross

Investments Manager

Supports acquisitions and investor relations at Veritas, running the underwriting and scenario planning behind every deal and keeping the firm's open-book approach easy to trust.

Bibiana Moreno

Collections Specialist

Manages resident accounts with care and clarity, working alongside the operations team to keep communities financially healthy while treating every resident with compassion.

Viviana Rodriguez

Retention Specialist

Focuses on resident retention across Veritas communities, building the relationships and renewal programs that make residents want to stay and call a Veritas property home.

Carolina Arcea

Application Specialist

Guides prospective residents through the application and leasing process, delivering a welcoming, transparent first experience of the Veritas standard of care.
